Tough passage to dig into and it took me several hours. I don't want to spend a lot of time writing about it since I will write a full commentary on it in the future. One central idea is that we are to abide in Christ and His anointing will teach us the truth and preserve us from the error of the antichrists who try and deceive us. Confess the Son as the Messiah, abide in Him, and remember the eternal life which He has promised us. If we abide in Him, we will have confidence of our firm foundation on the Rock and will not be ashamed at His return.
