Und da sie wegen der Menge nicht zu ihm herankommen konnten, deckten sie dort, wo er war, das Dach ab, und nachdem sie durchgebrochen, ließen sie das Bett, darauf der Gelähmte lag, herab.

ὅπου ὁ παραλυτικὸς κατέκειτο.
καὶ ἰδὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὴν πίστιν αὐτῶν λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ•
And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
Als aber Jesus ihren Glauben sah, sprach er zu dem Gelähmten: Sohn, deine Sünden sind dir vergeben!
τέκνον, ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι.
ἦσαν δέ τινες τῶν γραμματέων ἐκεῖ καθήμενοι καὶ διαλογιζόμενοι ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις αὐτῶν•
But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,
Es saßen aber dort etliche von den Schriftgelehrten, die dachten in ihren Herzen:
τί οὗτος οὕτως λαλεῖ;
“Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?”
Was redet dieser so? Er lästert! Wer kann Sünden vergeben als nur Gott allein?
βλασφημεῖ•
τίς δύναται ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας
εἰ μὴ εἷς ὁ θεός;
καὶ εὐθὺς ἐπιγνοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς τῷ πνεύματι αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὕτως διαλογίζονται ἐν ἑαυτοῖς λέγει αὐτοῖς•
Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, said to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts?
Und alsbald merkte Jesus kraft seines Geistes, daß sie so bei sich dachten, und sprach zu ihnen: Warum denkt ihr solches in euren Herzen?
τί ταῦτα διαλογίζεσθε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν;
τί ἐστιν εὐκοπώτερον,
Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven’; or to say, ‘Get up, and pick up your pallet and walk’?
Was ist leichter, zu dem Gelähmten zu sagen: Deine Sünden sind dir vergeben? oder zu sagen: Steh auf, nimm dein Bett und wandle?
εἰπεῖν τῷ παραλυτικῷ•
ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι,
ἢ εἰπεῖν•
ἔγειρε
καὶ ἆρον τὸν κράβαττόν σου
καὶ περιπάτει;
ἵνα δὲ εἰδῆτε
But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— He said to the paralytic,
Damit ihr aber wisset, daß des Menschen Sohn Vollmacht hat, auf Erden Sünden zu vergeben, sprach er zu dem Gelähmten:
ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχει ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς -
λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ•
σοὶ λέγω,
“I say to you, get up, pick up your pallet and go home.”
Ich sage dir, stehe auf, nimm dein Bett und gehe heim!
ἔγειρε
ἆρον τὸν κράβαττόν σου
καὶ ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου.
καὶ ἠγέρθη
And he got up and immediately picked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, so that they were all amazed and were glorifying God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this.”
Und er stand auf, nahm alsbald sein Bett und ging vor aller Augen hinaus; so daß sie alle erstaunten, Gott priesen und sprachen: Solches haben wir noch nie gesehen!
καὶ εὐθὺς ἄρας τὸν κράβαττον ἐξῆλθεν ἔμπροσθεν πάντων,
