Main point summary
Jesus was by the sea, and a large crowd gathered, and He taught them many things in parables. The first parable recorded is about a sower who sows seed. Some falls on the road, some on the rocky ground, some among thorns and some into good soil. Only the seed in the good soil yields a crop.
