After this passage, Paul returns to the Gospel as the basis for these instructions and the motivation for following them (For the grace of God has appeared...). All new creations in Christ should make their salvation evident by their behavior, and in this passage we see action specific to women of God. This is neither an exhaustive list of what women can and should do, not is it a list of instructions that can be followed in only one way. There are countless applications to the principles Paul presents here, and the challenge to women is to display these principle regardless of the situation they are in.
