Indeed I produced the first word about all, O Theophilus, of that which Jesus began to do and to teach, until that day [upon] which, after through the Holy Spirit having given orders to the apostles whom he elected, he was taken up.
And to whom he presented Himself living after his suffering, in many proofs, through forty days appearing to them and speaking the things of the Kingdom of God.
And gathering them together, he ordered them not to go away from Jerusalem
but to await the promise of the Father which you [all] heard of [from] me,
negativepositive
for John indeed baptized with water,
but you [all] will be baptized in Holy Spirit after not many days.

Οἱ μὲν οὖν συνελθόντες ἠρώτων αὐτὸν λέγοντες• κύριε, εἰ ἐν τῷ χρόνῳ τούτῳ ἀποκαθιστάνεις τὴν βασιλείαν τῷ Ἰσραήλ;
So after convening, they were asking him saying: "Lord, is it [at] this time you are restoring the Kingdom of Israel?"
But he said to them: "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father set by his own authority."
But you [all] will receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit upon you
and you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem and in all of Judaea and Samaria and until the remotest of the earth.

And after laying this forth (i.e. saying these things), with them watching, he was raised up and a cloud carried him from their eyes.
καὶ ὡς ἀτενίζοντες ἦσαν εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν πορευομένου αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἄνδρες δύο παρειστήκεισαν αὐτοῖς ἐν ἐσθήσεσι λευκαῖς, οἳ καὶ εἶπαν• ἄνδρες Γαλιλαῖοι, τί ἑστήκατε [ἐμ]βλέποντες εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν;
And even as they were gazing intently into heaven at his departing, behold, two men have stood (perfect) by them in white clothing, who said: men of Galilee, why is it you have stood looking into heaven?
This Jesus, the one having been taken up from you into heaven,
in this way he will come which you [all] saw him going into heaven.
