Why Christmas?
Main point summary
Jesus taking on our human flesh made Him acceptable to atone for our sins.
Why Christmas?
Hebrews 2:14-18
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood,
Since the share in our bodies of flesh and blood,
he himself likewise h partook of the same things,
He Jesus Himself in like manner shared these,
that i through death he might j destroy k the one who has the power of death,
that through his own death, he would destroy the evil one with power of death
that is, the devil,
that is the devil the accuser
and deliver all those who l through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.
and set free these that through fearing death were subject to slavery
For surely it is not angels that he helps,
for sure it not just the angels that God helps
but he m helps the offspring of Abraham.
but indeed He helps the seed and children of Abraham.
Therefore he had n to be made like his brothers in every respect,
Therefore it was necessary for He, Jesus, to be just like these children and brothers in every single way
o so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest p in the service of God,
so in order that He show Himself to be a high priest serving God with mercy and faithfulness,
to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
to offer an atoning sacrifice for the sins of His people.
For because he himself has suffered
For in that He suffered Himself the same sufferings
q when tempted,
even when tempted
he is able to help those who are being tempted.
He is therefore able to be acquainted and helpful to those of who who are tempted.
Jesus was made like His brothers in every respect.
He shares our flesh and blood.
He shares the same experiences.
He shared our experience of death, but to destroy the devil and death.
He died to deliver the slaved
Jesus is a merciful and faithful High Priest.
Jesus satisfies God's wrath against people's sins.
He is a high priest who is acquainted with our suffering and temptation, providing help for those tempted.

Your Main Point Summary isn't correct. Yes, the passage talks about that, but your summary should reflect your largest arc - a Bilateral in your case.

Excellent work in your arcing relationships everywhere else!

For surely it is not angels that he helps,
"For" is tricky here. If you summarize and reword 14-16, I think it shows that 16 can't be the Ground for 14-15: "He became man to destroy the devil and help mortal man, because he helps Abraham's offspring." But that is more of a restatement.

The other main option for "for" is Id-Exp. I think that would work better: 16 is explaining 15. Jesus came to deliver those who fear death - and that must refer to human beings, not angels.

Everything else in 14-15 is good.

Surely this was Jesus' purpose in partaking in flesh and blood! Thus Purpose is better than Result.
