I could have connected 15-16 more closely, on a lower level, since they show contrast. But it looks like there's a division between 15 and 16, so that 16 starts a new section.
Even though you are free, don't use freedom to please your flesh but to serve each other through love.
Follow the leading of the life-giving, flesh-opposing Spirit, and you will fulfill God's law instead of your damning, sinful desires.
The works of the flesh are obvious and damning to those who practice them; the fruit of the Spirit, however , is a fulfillment of God's law.
Those in Christ have life through the Spirit, having crucified their flesh; therefore , they should keep in step with the Spirit.
The flesh and the Spirit, which are present in believers, are opposites and are completely opposed to each other; but since we live by the Spirit, we must walk by his leading.
Notice how sin relating to interpersonal relationships both begins and ends this section (15, 26). Also note that love is contrasted with flesh in 13, the main verse of this section, and then "flesh" is discussed in detail afterward.
