Central Idea: Spirit-filled followers of Christ will be attacked by the devil, therefore gird yourself for battle. Explanations: Insights: I see the spiritual warfare section as an inferetial paranesis to the Spirit-filled section that precedes this. Basically, when the Holy Spirit begins doing a mighty work in an individual, and godly fruit begins growing, the foxes will come in and try to destroy the vineyard. Therefore, when things get tough for a believer with his wife, his children, or his employer, he ought not think of this as a struggle against his personal relations, rather, he should recognize that the devil is at work looking to destroy the work of God. He should call the blessings of Christ down and enter into battle to overcome the evil one. Questions: Cross-references:
