* Where is boasting then? It is excluded.
[Since God is the justifier of sinners] boasting in mans heritage or performance is excluded.
By what law? Of works?
This is because of the fact that man can not work for justification,
No, but by the law of faith.
but it is granted to him by faith.

Therefore we conclude * that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart form the works of the law.
Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also,
That is because the God of the Jews is also the God of the Gentiles,
since * there is one God
since there is one God

Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not!
We then do not nullify the law through faith,
On the contrary, we establish the law.

What is the difference between by and through faith? - One is for the circumcised and the other for the uncircumcised. But how does that mean?
How is the law established through faith?

Notes
Boasting People boast in what they put their trust in. It is what makes their life worthwhile. The Jew boasts in their heritage and the keeping of the law. Even the Gentiles have their cultural standard in which they boast. Today, many boast in their possession, occupation, family, hobby, beauty or even religion. Boasting of this kind is not good. It is not going to deliver the desired satisfaction, and if for a while, the emptiness after will be even greater. True satisfaction is found in God who justifies apart from all the things that people can do and boast in. Once justified, we are free to enjoy what God gives with thanksgiving, without the need to boast. After all, why do people boast? Is it not to proof themselves? Paul spend three chapters to explain that man is completely bankrupt. Their is nothing to proof because man is empty. No matter if he is a Jew or Gentile, American or Russian, circumcised or uncircumcised, a 'church-goer' or a drunkard. Their is hope for the one who grasps that. Then he may appreciate the gift of freely receiving the forgiveness of sins and even the righteousness of God! Pretty amazing! Paul speaks in Gal 6:14 of boasting in Jesus Christ. He is the one in whom we may have justification by faith. All other boasting is false, empty, and deceptive. Establish the law How does one who is justified by faith establish the law? He does so by trusting Jesus Christ. The one who tries to establish the law by his works fails. The one who trusts Christ perfect work, received everything to establish the law.
