Τί οὖν ἐροῦμεν πρὸς ταῦτα;
Therefore [because of the preceding material] what will we say about these things?
[Answer]: If God is for us [i.e., always working for our good (v. 28)],
τίς καθʼ ἡμῶν;
[ then] no person anywhere can be against us.
conditional
[ Because God] did not spare is own Son,
but delivered him over on all of our behalf,
negativepositive
πῶς οὐχὶ καὶ σὺν αὐτῷ τὰ πάντα ἡμῖν χαρίσεται;
[ therefore ] he will certainly grant us all things with his Son.
inference
ground
τίς ἐγκαλέσει κατὰ ἐκλεκτῶν θεοῦ;
Nobody will charge God's elect,
[ because ] God has already declared the elect righteous (cf. v. 3).
τίς ὁ κατακρινῶν;
Nobody will condemn [God's elect],
[ because ] Christ has died for them, securing a condemnation-free life in eternity (vv. 1–4);
even further , he was raised from the dead,
who also is at the right-hand of God,
who also is interceding for us.
progression
τίς ἡμᾶς χωρίσει ἀπὸ τῆς ἀγάπης τοῦ Χριστοῦ;
Nothing will separate us from the love of Christ.
θλῖψις ἢ στενοχωρία ἢ διωγμὸς ἢ λιμὸς ἢ γυμνότης ἢ κίνδυνος ἢ μάχαιρα;
Neither affliction, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, destruction, or violence will separate us from the love of Christ.

comparison
To be sure , in all these things we utterly come out with the victory in all these things through [the death and resurrection of] Christ who loves us.
ideaexplanation
The reason is because neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor power, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation will be able to separate us from the in Christ Jesus our Lord love of God.

Main point summary
There is no condemnation for those united with Christ.
Romans 8 (BIG ARC)
Romans 8:1-39
[ because ] The Law of the Spirit, which produces life, set you free from the law, which produces sin and death.
There is no condemnation for those united with Christ.
The purpose : that the righteous requirement of the Law would be fulfilled in those united with Christ.
Implication of purpose : those who have the Spirit in them, are not living by the flesh, but by the Spirit
NOTE: Specifically, vv. 18–30 clarify in detail the suffering and the glorification mention in v. 17.
[as a result, therefore] We are no longer in debt to the flesh (i.e., to cater to the flesh's lustful beckonings).
[ therefore ] B ecause God is for us [i.e., because there is no condemnation awaiting us] , nothing can ever be against us .
Therefore [because of the realities about which I just wrote] [there is] now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
The reason for this is that the Law of the Spirit of life has freed you [from the oppressive authority] of the Law of sin and death.
Because God (accomplished) what the Law deemed impossible for all those lived in sinful flesh (i.e., all sinners—esp. Israel, since God gave them the Law) The way God accomplished this is by sending his Son in the likeness of sinful flesh (i.e., as a human),
and [to make atonement for sin/to eliminate sin/to triumph over sin] he condemned sin in the flesh (i.e., in his death ).
series
actionmanner
The purpose for which God did this is so that the righteousness [which produces] the Law (or "the righteous Law") might be fulfilled in us—those who walk not according to the flesh
but according to the Spirit.
That is , those live continually according to [their] flesh bend their minds to the things of the flesh,
but [on the contrary] those who live continually according to the Spirit bend their minds to the things of the Spirit.
alternative
[This is] because the mind of the flesh [is] death.
But [on the contrary] the mind of the Spirit is life and peace .
[This is] because the mind of the flesh [is] hostile to God,
since it does not subject to the Law of God,
because it is unable [to subject to the Law of God].
And those who live continually in the flesh are unable to please God.
[ Therefore ] you are not in the flesh,
but you are in the Spirit—
provided that the Spirit of God dwells in you.
Now if someone doesn't have Christ's Spirit,
this person is not from Christ.
But on the contrary , if Christ dwells in you,
while the body is dead due to sin,
the Spirit is life due to righteousness.
concessive
Moreover , if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also make alive your mortal bodies through the indwelling Spirit that is in you.
actionpurpose
As a result, therefore , brothers, we owe nothing to the flesh,
in order to answer to its lustful beckonings;
actionresult
That is , if you should live according to the flesh,
then you are destined to die.
But if by means of the Holy Spirit
you kill the deeds of the body,
then you will certainly live.
The reason we are not debtors to the flesh is because all those who are lead by the Spirit of God are sons of God .
because you did not receive the Spirit of slavery
to live again for fear,
but you received the Spirit of adoption,
[the Spirit] by whom we cry, "Abba, Father."
generalspecific
[ Therefore ] the Spirit himself confirms to our spirit that we are children of God.
And if we are children of God,
then we are also heirs
That is, heirs of God,
and therefore fellow heirs with Christ—
provided that we suffer with him,
in order that we might also be glorified with him.
bilateral
That is [with reference to the suffering needed in order to be glorified with Christ], I reckon that the sufferings of the present age are not even worthy of comparison to the stupendous glory that is destined to be revealed to us.
That is , the creation eagerly awaits with great longing for the revelation of the sons of God
because the creation was subjected to futility—
not by its own will,
but because of the will of the one who subjected it—
for hope ,
which is that the creation itself will one day be freed from the slavery of corruption and be transferred into the freedom of the glory of God's children.
Moreover , we know that the whole creation has been groaning and suffering up until this point.
but not only does creation await the to be revealed glory,
but also, we ourselves, who also have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan,
while we eagerly await the adoption—
which is the redemption of our bodies.
That is , we were saved with hope;
Now , hope which is seen is not hope.
ὃ γὰρ βλέπει τίς ἐλπίζει;
Because nobody hopes in something they see.
Therefore if we hope for that which we do not see,
we then eagerly wait for it with steadfastness.
In a similar way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness.
That is , although we do not know what to pray for as we should,
The Spirit himself, nevertheless intercedes for us with unspeakable groanings.
Even further , the one who searches hearts knows the mindset of the Spirit
because he intercedes for us according to the will of God.
Moreoever we know that all things work for the good for those who love God—
that is , those who are called according to God's purpose.
The reason for this is because he predestined those he foreknew,
for the purpose of conformity into the image of his Son,
for the purpose that his Son might be the firstborn among many brothers.
And God called those he predestined;
and justified those he called;
and glorified those he justified.
Τί οὖν ἐροῦμεν πρὸς ταῦτα;
Therefore what shall we say regarding all of this?
If God is for us,
τίς καθʼ ἡμῶν;
then nothing is against us.
because God did not spare his own son
but delivered him over for us all,
πῶς οὐχὶ καὶ σὺν αὐτῷ τὰ πάντα ἡμῖν χαρίσεται;
he will therefore graciously give to us all things along with his Son.
τίς ἐγκαλέσει κατὰ ἐκλεκτῶν θεοῦ;
That is , nobody can bring any charge against God's elect
because God is the one who justifies.
τίς ὁ κατακρινῶν;
And nobody can condemn God's elect
because Christ Jesus is the one who died and secured a condemnation-free future glory;
even more so , Christ Jesus is the one who was raised from the dead,
and is seated at the right hand of God,
and intercedes on our behalf.
τίς ἡμᾶς χωρίσει ἀπὸ τῆς ἀγάπης τοῦ Χριστοῦ;
Most of all , nobody can separate us from the love of Christ .
θλῖψις ἢ στενοχωρία ἢ διωγμὸς ἢ λιμὸς ἢ γυμνότης ἢ κίνδυνος ἢ μάχαιρα;
Neither affliction, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, destruction, or violence,
even though these things like it is written: "We are killed every day before you; we are reckoned sheep for the slaughter.
Rather , in all these things we utterly claim the victory through Christ who loves us.
The reason is because neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to be, nor power, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation will be able to separate us from the in Christ Jesus our Lord love of God.
