And he spoke many (things) to them in parables,
λέγων ἰδοὺ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ σπείρων τοῦ σπείρειν
saying: "Behold! The one sowing of-the-seed-to-sow went
καὶ ἐν τῷ σπείρειν αὐτὸν
and while he was sowing,

ἃ μὲν ἔπεσεν παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν
some, on the one hand, fell alongside the road
καὶ ἐλθόντα τὰ πετεινὰ κατέφαγεν αὐτά

and because not having root,
ἐξηράνθη
it became withered.
ἄλλα δὲ ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ τὰς ἀκάνθας
But others fell on the thorn plants
καὶ ἀνέβησαν αἱ ἄκανθαι
and the thorn plants came up
καὶ ἔπνιξαν αὐτά
and choked them.
ἄλλα δὲ ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τὴν καλὴν
