Then Esther answered, “My wish and my request is:

אִם־ מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֜ן בְּעֵינֵ֣י הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ

If I have found favor in the sight of the king,

וְאִם־ עַל־ הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ ט֔וֹב לָתֵת֙ אֶת־ שְׁאֵ֣לָתִ֔י וְלַעֲשׂ֖וֹת אֶת־ בַּקָּשָׁתִ֑י

and if it please the king to grant my wish and fulfill my request,

יָב֧וֹא הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ וְהָמָ֗ן אֶל־ הַמִּשְׁתֶּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֣ה לָהֶ֔ם

let the king and Haman come to the feast that I will prepare for them,

וּמָחָ֥ר אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה כִּדְבַ֥ר הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

and tomorrow I will do as the king has said.”

וַיֹּאמֶר֮ הָמָן֒ אַ֣ף לֹא־ הֵבִיאָה֩ אֶסְתֵּ֨ר הַמַּלְכָּ֧ה עִם־ הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ אֶל־ הַמִּשְׁתֶּ֥ה אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֖תָה כִּ֣י אִם־ אוֹתִ֑י

Then Haman said, “Even Queen Esther let no one but me come with the king to the feast she prepared.

וְגַם־ לְמָחָ֛ר אֲנִ֥י קָֽרוּא־ לָ֖הּ עִם־ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

And tomorrow also I am invited by her together with the king.

וְכָל־ זֶ֕ה אֵינֶ֥נּוּ שֹׁוֶ֖ה לִ֑י

Yet all this is worth nothing to me,

בְּכָל־ עֵ֗ת אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֲנִ֤י רֹאֶה֙ אֶת־ מָרְדֳּכַ֣י הַיְּהוּדִ֔י יוֹשֵׁ֖ב בְּשַׁ֥עַר הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.”

Then go joyfully with the king to the feast.”
