But p sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness q must not even be named among you,
But a immorality 1 or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you,
as is proper among saints.
as is proper among 2 saints;
Let there be r no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, s which are out of place,
and there must be no a filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which b are not fitting,
but instead t let there be thanksgiving.
but rather c giving of thanks.
For you may be sure of this,
For this you know with certainty,
that u everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous ( v that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
that a no 1 immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom b of Christ and God.
w Let no one x deceive you with empty words,
a Let no one deceive you with empty words,
for because of these things y the wrath of God comes upon z the sons of disobedience.
for because of these things b the wrath of God comes upon c the sons of disobedience.
Therefore a do not become partners with them;
Therefore do not be a partakers with them;
for b at one time you were c darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. d Walk as children of light
for a you were formerly b darkness,
but now you are Light in the Lord;
walk as c children of Light
(for e the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),
(for a the fruit of the Light consists in all b goodness and righteousness and truth),
and f try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
1 a trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.
g Take no part in the h unfruitful i works of darkness,
a Do not participate in the unfruitful b deeds of c darkness,
but instead j expose them.
but instead even 1 d expose them;
For k it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret.
for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
But when l anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible,
But all things become visible a when they are 1 exposed by the light,
for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, m “Awake, O sleeper, and n arise from the dead, and o Christ will shine on you.”
for everything that becomes visible is light.
For this reason 1 it says,
“ a Awake, sleeper, And arise from b the dead, And Christ c will shine on you.”
