Main point summary
The Word is eternal God, maker of everything, and unconquerable life.
John 1:1-5
a In the beginning was b the Word,
and c the Word was with God,
and d the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
e All things were made through him,
and without him was not any thing made that was made.
f In him was life, 1
and g the life was the light of men.
h The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.
I'm not completely sure that this arc is done right - I'm looking for feedback on what should be done different with it, and maybe some insights that can be drawn from it.

5a-5b could perhaps be Situation-Response, couldn't it?
Eric Judd
I think I might've had that idea but decided against it since the darkness not overcoming the light isn't really a surprising result; rather, this seems more like a contrast to me.
Alex Mbemba
Hi Eric, It sounds to me that 1b and 1c are a clarification of "what is Word" is or was, so I would suggest an Idea-Exp between 1a and (1b+1c)
Alex Mbemba
or perhaps "who the Word" is ?
Eric Judd
Would 1b-1c still be a Progression? Or would it make more sense as a Series?
