Understanding
The flow of logic seems to be: v1: A request for God to be gracious to us, bless us, and shine on us v2: SO THAT he may be known among the nations v3-7: We are so overwhelmed by God's gracious blessing in v1 that we fulfill v2 by calling all creation to praise God: a. Because he rules and guides with equity (v3-4) b. Because he provides food (and all care) (v5-6) c. Because he deserves all honor (to be feared) (v7) My praise of God, and my calling others to praise God, is only a response to God's gracious act of blessing me and making his face shine upon me. God is the initiator. I am only a respondent.
