Verses 3-4: Turning and becoming like children in v. 3 is equivalent to humbling yourself like this child in v. 4. Verses 3-6: (3) Unless you become like children, you won't enter the kingdom. Therefore (untranslated oun in v. 4): (4) Humble yourself like this child so as to be the greatest in the kingdom. (5) Moreover, receive such children in My Name so as to receive Me. (6) Make sure that you don't cause one of these little ones to stumble! Verses 5-6 are especially closely connected (and contrasted) because they start with hos ean/ hos d' an Verses 4-6: Humble yourself - become like this child Moreover, don't just become like a child, but welcome/receive children (and don't cause them to stumble!)
