Central Idea It is a worse fate to have been exposed to Jesus and rejected him than to have wallowed in the misery of not knowing Jesus at all. Explanations I feel like the best way to understand this passage is by arcing it through a series of ideas and explanations. It would suffice to say that Jesus denouced the cities that did not repent, and everything else is a further explanation of why he was doing such a thing. Insights The idea-explanation pattern of this pattern is helpful for seeing the relationships and structure for the message Jesus is sharing.
