Central Idea Jesus fulfilled the Scripture that predicted his healing work. Explanations While some of Jesus actions were for a purpose of healing, I would say that her serving was a result, not the purpose. All of what Jesus did for Peter's mother-in-law resulted in more people coming to be healed by Jesus that evening. The central concept seems to be the fulfillment of the Isaiah Scripture. Cross References Isaiah 53:4 Insights I think that the centrality of the Isaiah reference was imortant for this arc to show.

and she got up and waited on Him.
When evening came,
they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed;
and He cast out the spirits with a word,

and healed all who were ill.
This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:
"HE HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES
AND CARRIED AWAY OUR DISEASES."
