2 Timothy 1:6-14
For this reason I remind you
Because of your sincere faith, I want to remind you
n to fan into flame the gift of God ,
to increase the intensity of the gift of God,
which is in you
which dwells within you
through the laying on of my hands,
through the laying on of my hands upon you.
for God gave us o a spirit not of fear
Increase the intensity of the gift of God within you because God did not give to those who believe in Him a spirit that brings fear,
but p of power and love and self-control.
but on the other hand , He gave us a spirit that gives us power, love, and the ability to control oneself.
Therefore q do not be ashamed of r the testimony about our Lord,
Since you have this spirit within you , do not be afraid of sharing openly and publicly the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,
nor of s me his prisoner,
neither be afraid of sharing my testimony as a prisoner of our Lord Jesus Christ
but t share in suffering for the gospel
but rather , take part in the hardship that comes through sharing the gospel boldly,
by the power of God,
and share in the hardship through the strength that comes from God,
u who saved us and v called us to 1 a holy calling,
who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and set us apart to do His work of reconciling the world to Him,
w not because of our works
not because we deserve this from Him or earned the right,
but because of v his own purpose and grace,
but because of His own free will and grace.
which he gave us in Christ Jesus
The grace which He gave us in Christ Jesus
x before the ages began, 2
even before time began
and which now has y been manifested
and this grace has now been made very clear to us
through z the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus,
through the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
a who abolished death
who put an end to death
and b brought life and c immortality to light
and furthermore , brought life and eternal life to bare
through the gospel ,
through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead.
d for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher,
His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead is the message I was assigned a preacher, apostle, and teacher
e which is why I suffer as I do.
and for this reason , that is why I go through hardships.
But f I am not ashamed ,
Even though I suffer much because of this message , I am not afraid of proclaiming it openly.
for g I know whom I have believed,
Why am I not afraid? Because I am fully aware to whom I have put my faith upon,
and I am convinced that he is able to guard until h that Day i what has been entrusted to me. 1
and I'm also completely certain that He has the ability to uphold this message that has been entrusted to me until the end of time.
j Follow k the pattern of l the sound 1 words
Do all these things by keeping in step with the trust worthy words
m that you have heard from me, in n the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
that you heard from me, in the context of the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
By the Holy Spirit o who dwells within us,
By the enabling power of the Holy Spirit who dwells within me and you,
guard i the good deposit entrusted to you .
by that power , uphold the good deposit, which is the word of God, entrusted to you.
