Collection
Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do.
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also.
Now concerning the collection for the saints
just as I commanded to the churches of Galatia
in the same manner also I do to you.
On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come.
On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.
during the first (day) of (the) week,
let each one of you place aside by himself
storing up that which he may prosper,
in order that when I come, a collection would not happen at that time.
And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
When I arrive, whomever you may approve, I will send them with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem;
But when I arrive,
I will send whomever you would approve with these letters
to carry your gift
to Jerusalem;
If it seems advisable that I should go also, they will accompany me.
and if it is fitting for me to go also, they will go with me.
and if it is fitting that I myself would go, they will go with me.
Travel Plans
I will visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia,
But I will come to you after I go through Macedonia, for I am going through Macedonia;
Now, I will come to you whenever I may pass through Macedonia;
for I am passing through Macedonia,
and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my journey, wherever I go.
and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I may go.
and (if it) turns out, I will abide with you or even spend the winter,
so that you may send me wherever I would go.
For I do not want to see you now just in passing. I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.
For I do not wish to see you now just in passing; for I hope to remain with you for some time, if the Lord permits.
For I am not desiring to see you now in passing (only),
for I am hoping to remain with you (for) a certain time
if the Lord would permit.
But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost;
But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost;
for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
for a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
for a great and effective door (opportunity) has opened for me,
and (there) are many opposing ones.
When Timothy comes, see that you put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am.
Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without cause to be afraid, for he is doing the Lord’s work, as I also am.
Now, if Timothy would come,
See to it that he would be fearless with you,
for he is working the Lord's work as I also.
So let no one despise him. Help him on his way in peace, that he may return to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers.
So let no one despise him. But send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.
Therefore, let no one despise him,
but send him in peace,
in order that he may come to me.
for I am expecting him with the brothers.
Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has opportunity.
But concerning Apollos our brother, I encouraged him greatly to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his desire to come now, but he will come when he has opportunity.
Now concerning brother Apollos,
I encouraged him greatly
that he would come to you with the brothers
but it was not his desire at all that he would come now,
but he will come when he has opportunity.

Now I urge you, brothers — you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—
Now I urge you, brethren (you know the household of Stephanas, that they were the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves for ministry to the saints),
Now I am exhorting you, brothers,
[you have known the house of Stephanas,
that he is the first fruit of Achaia
and they placed themselves into the serving of the saints;]
be subject to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer.
that you also be in subjection to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.
that you yourselves also would be subject to these men
and to all the ones working together and laboring.
I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence,
I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.
Now I rejoice upon the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus,
because they themselves fulfilled that which you lack;
for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such people.
For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.
for they refreshed my spirit and yours.
Therefore, be recognizing these men.
