I am hard pressed to know what to do with the δὲ beginning v 7. Mounce (WBC: Pastoral Epistles) seems to think that the δὲ contrasts with the gospel—words of faith—in v 6. If this is the case, then logically, v 7 is part of the subordinate participial phrase ("ἐντρεφόμενος τοῖς λόγοις τῆς πίστεως καὶ τῆς καλῆς διδασκαλίας ᾗ παρηκολούθηκας"). I am not sure how to arc that possibility. Instead, I take the δὲ to be an introductory conjunction beginning the negative-positive imperatives. It may be that my translation "Now" is problematic, and should simply be rendered, "But."

By teaching these things to the brothers,
you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus,
( namely , a servant) being trained in the words of faith and the good teachings, which you have followed closely.

Now, avoid worldy and silly myths,
but train yourself towards godliness;
for bodily training is profitable for a little while,
but godliness is profitable for all things,
( because ) it has the promise of life now and of life to come.

This word is faithful and worthy of all acceptance;
for unto this we labor and we contend,
because we have hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially those of faith.
