Develop this attitude in you,
which also is in Christ Jesus,
who though being in the form of God,
did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
becoming in the likeness of men,

and being found with respect to flesh to be as a man,
he humbled himself,
becoming obedient as far as death,
namely death brought about by the cross.

Therefore, God also exalted him to the highest place
and gave freely to him the name which is above every name,
in order that by the name of Jesus every knee should bend itself in heaven, on the earth, and under the earth,
and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is lord unto the glory of God, the father.
