Study Questions From LAB: 1. Read Psalm 67, and ask what God wants. How many different desires can you identify in these seven verses? That God's way may be known on the earth (v.2) That God be praised (v.3,5) That the nations enjoy God (v.4) God wants to be feared (v.7) 2. Now restate each of those desires in the opposite way. What does God not want (based on Psalm 67)? He does not want people to be ignorant of Him He does not want people to be disrespectful of Him He does not want people to be bored of Him He does not want people to be flippant toward Him 3. The psalm opens, “May God be gracious to us and bless us . . .” Looking at the rest of this psalm, why do you think God blesses us? God blesses us so that we may bless the whole world This is a theme which was earlier shown to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3 Takeaway God has communicated what He is looking for: For Him to be known, praised, delighted in and feared by the whole world His goals are accomplished through blessing me, us. Blessing us, me is not just for ourselves. It is an outward movement, a making known of Him to others, to the whole world.
