-This parable is a clear illustration of what was happening with Jesus and Israel ’s leaders. God, being the owner of the vineyard, that is, Israel , decides to send his son, the heir of the vineyard, but the tenants kill Him, they disrespect the Lord of the land by killing His servants and even His Son. Though they don’t have any right over the vineyard, they don’t want their master to rule over his own property. Just as we are not willing to be ruled by God, disrespect Him in, and dethrone Him from its rightful place in our hearts. As Israel ’s leaders we need to repent from our foolishness and receive the cornerstone that the builders ( Israel ’s leaders and ultimately all human kind) as the promised Messiah and Savior of our hearts.
