-Here we have a Jesus, His disciples and those who followed him going up to Jerusalem . They were traveling with different emotions within them. First, it says that Jesus was walking ahead of them. He knew what He was to going to face, nevertheless He was ahead. Knowing all that was going to happen to Him, we would think He would probably be downcast, walking in a slow pace. But that is not what the text says. He was walking ahead, with a resolved will to obey His Father; and sensing the perplexity of the one who followed them, he stopped to talk to the ones He loved. Though He knew his dark hour was near, He could still be loving and compassionate to those around Him. He took them again to explain in detail what was to happen to him, so that their hearts could find peace trusting in their master. Delivered to sinful men Jesus to death was condemned, They mocked and spit on Him, They flogged and killed the King, But praise the Lord, after three days Our great Savior rose again The grave could not hold His omnipotent power to control And by laying His will He conquered death Giving us life and peace through faith And the imperishable, undefiled and unfading Hope for eternal life in His presence. -------------Jen Arocha-----------

And they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem,
