-The circumcision that pleases God is not the external, the one done in the body, but the inward one, of the heart, through the work of the Spirit. This means that the issue is not if you are a Jew or a gentile, for being a Jew by nationality binds you to be circumcised by the letter (the external commandment done in the flesh), but can still be a transgressor of the law, and therefore, he needs something outside of himself to be justified before God. Nevertheless, you could be a gentile, and though you don’t have the mark of the circumcision in your body, if you circumcised in your heart, that is, if you don’t trust yourself to find justification before God, then the work of the Spirit has circumcised your heart and you will receive the praise that is from God. -La circuncisión que agrada a Dios no es la externa, la que se hace en el cuerpo, sino la interna, la del corazón, por medio de la obra del Espíritu. Lo cual significa que no tiene que ver con ser judío o gentil, pues siendo judío por nacionalidad te obliga a ser circuncidado por la letra (el mandamiento externo hecho en el prepucio), pero es trasgresor de la ley y por tanto necesita algo fuera de sí mismo para ser justificado delante de Dios. Sin embargo, puedes ser gentil, y aunque no tienes la marca de la circuncisión en tu cuerpo, si eres circuncidado en el corazón, esto es, rechazas el apegarte a ti para encontrar tu justificación delante de Dios, entonces la obra del Espíritu ha circuncidado tu corazón recibirás la alabanza que procede de Dios.
