I have wondered what Paul means by 'a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him'. As I began arcing it looked to me like he explained this in the following verses. In other words having the eyes of your heart enlightened to know.... is unpacking 'a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God'. What he wants us to see with the eyes of our heart and know are the hope He has called us to. At this point I am thinking that the inheritance and the power are two components of the hope, though they could be three distinct things. I have arced the last two as components of hope but I am not fully convinced. And then the power is expounded on in the according to phrase which is then expounded on in a long temporal statement of God's power in the raising and seating of Christ above all. What moves me here is how much Paul (God) wants believers to know, experience abundant assurance of God's hope, inheritance and power for them. He doesn't want to leave them in the dark but to know more and more fully. This is apparently central to knowing God. It seems that Paul goes to great lengths in 13 - 14 to let them know that they are included in the blessings in Christ when he changes from 'we who were the first to hope in Christ' to 'you'. Now, by sharing his prayer for them he reveals more and more of his deep desire that they deeply know. He so wants them to know. He so wants us to know. I feel a need to explore more deeply the verses of hope, inheritance and power.

For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,
I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,
inference
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,
having the eyes of your hearts enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you,
what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe,
according to the working of his great might
that he worked in Christ
when he raised him from the dead
and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

And he put all things under his feet
and gave him as head over all things to the church,
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
