One Sentence Summary: Jesus Christ receives a humiliating coronation prior to his exaltation of crucifixion (i.e., "lifted up," Cf. John 3:14; 8:38; 12:32), after which he shall rise in glory to be exalted at the right hand of the Father in divine coronation (Cf. Heb 2:5-18 ; Psalm 2). OR Jesus is the rejected scapegoat-lamp led to the slaughter by his own, ironically crowned as king in utter humiliation and death. OR Jesus is crowned as king in the most humiliating way possible so that he may reign as king of those whom he redeems through his death.

λέγει οὖν αὐτῷ ὁ Πιλᾶτος• ἐμοὶ οὐ λαλεῖς; οὐκ οἶδας ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχω ἀπολῦσαί σε καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχω σταυρῶσαί σε;
