Jesus is the seed whose death produces fruit. Yet, our Pioneer's "hour" is the paradigm for the Church's "hour" (1 John 2:18-20)

Even at Jesus' Triumphal Entry, it turns out those who praised him did not understand him, and did not believe him. But this was all in accordance with God's plan. While those who praised him would later condemn him, his death would lead to life for the Gentiles.

Τῇ ἐπαύριον ὁ ὄχλος πολὺς ὁ ἐλθὼν εἰς τὴν ἑορτήν, ἀκούσαντες ὅτι ἔρχεται ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα
The next day, the large crowd that came to the festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.

So Jesus said to them, "The light is among you yet a little while longer.
