ideaexplanation
If a person thinks he is obedient to God, but does not act in a God-honoring way, then his "obedience" is worthless in God's eyes. Whereas, the obedience that God rejoices in is loving the afflicted and refusing to conform to the sins of the world (Rom. 12:2).
Not controlling your words causes you to deceive yourself into believing you are saved when you may not be.

Notes**
Faith necessitates an appropriate response to what you believe in order for that Faith to be real, saving Faith. A faith that doesn't move you is no Faith at all. Having faith in something but not ever letting that faith transform into action is like believing a chair can hold you weight without breaking but refusing to sit in the chair.
