Main point summary
Christians, do not quarrel among each other as to who should eat what and what days are holier than others. One can eat in honor of the Lord and one can fast in honor of the Lord. We are servants of God and are subject to him and not each other, therefore stop judging and live or die with conviction to the Glory of God

Romans 14:1-11
esv
mine
As for m the one who is weak in faith, welcome him,
Welcome into the church the person that believes he is not free to live and eat whatever he wants,
but not to quarrel over opinions.
but do not welcome him for the purpose of attempting to convince him that eating anything is ok.
ideaexplanation
n One person believes he may eat anything,
One Christian believes that all things are honorable to God,
while the weak person eats only vegetables.
while another, who does not believe he if free in the Lord, is convinced that only vegetables are honorable to God.
alternative
Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains,
Nevertheless, the one who believes all things are honorable should not be angry at the one who believes only some things are honorable,
and o let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats,
and the one who believes it is only honorable to eat vegetables should not judge those who freely eat everything,
series
for God has welcomed him.
because God has welcomed both believers into his family.
ground
concessive
p Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another?
Since God has welcomed both , who are you to pass judgement on God's servant?
It is before his own master 1 that he stands or falls.
For it is before God that this person will be judged,
And he will be upheld,
and God will uphold him in this judgement,
progression
for the Lord is able to make him stand.
because He has the power to do so.
inference
q One person esteems one day as better than another,
Moreover , one believer believes Sunday is holy compared to the other days,
while another esteems all days alike.
while another believer believes all days are holy in God's eyes.
r Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
The way each one of these Christians should believes is with full conviction that they are honoring God.
actionmanner
The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord.
As a result, the Christian who believes Sunday is holy as a sabbath, does so in a way that honors the Lord if done with conviction,
The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord,
and the one who eats freely can do so in honor of the Lord if done with conviction.
since s he gives thanks to God,
since this Christian is giving thanks to God for his ability to eat all things.
while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord
On the other hand, the Christian who abstains from eating all things in God's honor, can do so for God's glory
and gives thanks to God.
since he gives thanks to God by his abstinence.
actionresult
For t none of us lives to himself,
For no one's life is about himself
and none of us dies to himself.
and no one's death is about himself.
For if we live,
For if we are living freely,
we live to the Lord,
our life should be lived to God's glory,
conditional
and if we die,
and if we choose to abstain,
we die to the Lord.
our abstinence should be to God's glory.
So then, u whether we live
so, whether we live freely,
or whether we die,
or "die" in abstinence,
we are the Lord’s.
we can do so in God's honor.
For to this end Christ v died
This is true because Christ came and died to make this true and possible,
and lived again,
and then he rose,
that he might be Lord both w of the dead and of the living.
in order that he may reign over both the one who is dead in abstinence and the living and free.
actionpurpose
Why do you pass judgment on your brother?
Therefore I ask again, why do you pass judgement on the one who lives freely?
Or you, why do you despise your brother?
and why do you hate the one who abstains?
For w we will all stand before x the judgment seat of God;
Stop doing such things, for we are all servants of the Lord equally and he will judge us, not each other,
for it is written, y “As I live, says the Lord,
We know this is true because the Lord said
every knee shall bow to me,
every person shall bow in worship to me,
and every tongue shall confess 1 to God.”
and everyone will confess that I am God".
The idea of this relationship is that a Christian should welcome those weak believers without falling into quarreling about trivial truths. The explanation of the idea is an example of a weak person feeling as though they need to abstain from meat, while another person knows he need not abstain. God is saying though these two people differ in belief, do not pass judgement on each other about the conviction the other person has.
The reason you should not pass judgement is that it is not we who judge our fellow brothers, but rather God is the master that decided whether he will be judged or not. And ultimately God will uphold him because he has the power to do so.
