Therefore (because of the glory of God in the church and in Christ), I, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling of which you have been called,
[that is to say, walk] with all humility and meekness, with patience, bearing with one another in love being zealous to cleave to the unity of the Spirit in the ligament of peace
ideaexplanation
(The grounds to this unity is) one body and one Spirit,
just as also you were called to one hope of your calling
comparison
one Lord, one faith, one baptism one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all

(For to walk this way) Now to each one he gave grace according to the measure of Christ's gift
Therefore, it says, "He ascended on high and led captive captivity, he gave gifts to men."
Now, the "he ascended," what is it, if not that also he descended into the lower regions, that is the earth;
He who descended is also he who ascended far above all the heavens,
in order that he might fill all things

(this equipping and building up will continue) until we might all attain the unity of faith and of knowledge of the Son of God,
to mature manhood,
to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

in order that we no longer be infants tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine by the cunning of man, by craftiness in deceitful schemes

But speaking the truth in love
