Notes
Our religion and our faith are not dead and stagnant. They should change us. They should not be something that we believe without if changing our whole being. Our desires and motivations should be different. We should no longer be willing to follow the ways of the world (which are worthless) but should want to carry out our faith in a way that is actually pleasing to God. This will manifest itself in a changed way of talking and changed priorities. We will no longer be able to be focused on only ourselves but will focus on helping those that are hurting and needy, those who are oppressed and impoverished. True faith will cause change.
