Main point summary
We are restless and unsatisfied because we are an adulterous people, loving the world more than the Lord. BUT He gives greater grace and therefore calls us to be submissive, humble people who seek His face.
James 4:1-10
What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you?
Why do you have quarrels and fight among you?
Is it not this, that your passions 1 are y at war within you? 2
Because your selfish passions are at war within you.
You desire and do not have,
That is, you want something you don't have
so you murder.
resulting in a murderous thoughts
You covet and cannot obtain,
And you jealousy desire something you can't have
so you fight and quarrel.
resulting in fights and quarrels
You do not have,
Nevertheless, you do not have
because you do not ask.
because you do not ask
You ask and do not receive,

Do you not know that friendship with the world

resulting in enmity with God.
b Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world
Therefore, whoever is a friend with the world
makes himself an enemy of God.
results in making himself an enemy of God.
Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says,
or do you supposed it it is for no reason that the scripture says
“He yearns jealously over the spirit
that "He yearns jealousy over the Spirit"
c that he has made to dwell in us”?
that He has made to dwell within us
But d he gives more grace.
BUT He gives more Grace
Therefore it says, e “God opposes the proud,
Therefore, it says God opposes the proud
but d gives grace to the humble.”
but gives grace to the humble.
Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Therefore, submit yourselves to God
f Resist the devil,
by resisting the devil
and he will flee from you.
resulting in him fleeing from you
g Draw near to God,
on the other hand, draw near to God
and he will draw near to you.
resulting in Him drawing near to you.
h Cleanse your hands, you sinners,
moreover, cleanse your hands
and i purify your hearts, j you double-minded.
and purify your hearts
k Be wretched
Furthermore, be wretched
and mourn
and mourn
and weep.
and weep
Let your laughter be turned to mourning
that is let your laughter be turned to mourning
and your joy to gloom.
and your joy to gloom
l Humble yourselves before the Lord,
Humble yourselves before the Lord
and he will exalt you.
resulting in Him exalting you.

I think you have done a good job. I like your nugget and main point summary.

One spot I would suggest an update is with your alternative between 7b-c and 8a-b. James of course is not calling us to do one or the other of these (what an alternative suggests), but rather calling us to do both. -/+ is a better choice if you want to bring out the contrast and opposing ways we are to relate to the devil and God.

This was really tough for me. I feel out of practice and would love some feedback. I have felt like James has been both practical and worshipful and look forward to finish arcing it. What is next??
