Malachi 3:13-18
g “Your words have been hard against me, says the Lord .
“You have criticized me sharply,” 23 says the Lord ,
The LORD declared that they criticized him,
h But you say,
“but you ask,
and yet they asked
‘How have we spoken against you?’
‘How have we criticized you?’
how did they criticized the LORD?
You have said, i ‘It is vain to serve God.
You have said, ‘It is useless to serve God.
They criticized the LORD by saying and speaking to one another that serving the LORD is useless
j What is the profit of our keeping his charge or of walking as in mourning before the Lord of hosts?
How have we been helped 24 by keeping his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord who rules over all? 25
Because they claim there is no profit for them in keeping His requirements and for suffering for the LORD's sake.
And now we call k the arrogant blessed.
So now we consider the arrogant to be happy;
That's why we consider the proud to be blessed;
k Evildoers not only prosper
indeed, those who practice evil are successful. 26
because those who practice evil, those who do not obey the LORD's commands are the ones who are getting successful.
but l they put God to the test and they escape.’”
In fact, those who challenge 27 God escape!’”
and in fact, those who test God, seems to have escaped. it seems they're not being punished for all their evil.
Then those who feared the Lord m spoke with one another.
Then those who respected 28 the Lord spoke to one another,
On the other hand , those who feared the Lord spoke with one another.
The Lord paid attention and heard them,
and the Lord took notice. 29
caused God to take notice of them.
and n a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed his name.
A scroll 30 was prepared before him in which were recorded the names of those who respected the Lord and honored his name.
He record the names of those people who respected and honor his name in the scroll that was prepared before him.
“They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, o in the day when I make up p my treasured possession,
“They will belong to me,” says the Lord who rules over all, “in the day when I prepare my own special property. 31
They will belong to me in the day when I prepare my own special property says the LORD who rules over all.
and I will spare them
I will spare them
Then He will spare them
as a man spares his son who serves him.
as a man spares his son who serves him.
just as a man who spares his son who serves him well.
Then once more you shall q see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked,
Then once more you will see that I make a distinction between 32 the righteous and the wicked,
Then once again you will see that God distinct those people who are righteous from the wicked
between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.
between the one who serves God and the one who does not.
namely those who serve God and those who does not.
They have wearied the LORD by saying that all who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD and delights in them and by thinking that the LORD is unjust. (Mal. 2:17)
