progression
So c some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, d ‘A little while, and you will not see me,
THEREFORE some of his disciples said to one another, "What is this he is telling us that before long you will not see me
and again a little while, and you will see me’;
and again before long you will see me;
and, e ‘because I am going to the Father’?”
SINCE I'm going to the Father.

So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’?
IN THIS WAY they have spoken "What does he mean by 'a little while?
f We do not know what he is talking about.”
We don't understand what He wants to convey.

g Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him,
BECAUSE Jesus knew that they wanted to ask Him,
so he said to them, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’?
THEREFORE He said to them "Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me?
Truly, truly, I say to you, h
Very truly I tell you, on that time,
you will weep and lament,
you will weep and lament
but i the world will rejoice.
WHEREAS, the world will rejoice,
negativepositive
You will be sorrowful,
BUT THOUGH you will be sorrowful,
but j your sorrow will turn into joy.
NEVERTHELESS your sorrow will turn into joy.
concessive
k When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come,
FOR AS a woman gives birth to a child has sorrow because her hour has come,
but when she has delivered the baby,
BUT AFTER her baby was born
she no longer remembers the anguish,
she forgets the anguish
for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
BECAUSE a human being was born into the world.
l So also you have sorrow now,
IN THE SAME WAY , now is your time of grief,
but m I will see you again,
HOWEVER, I will see you again,
and n your hearts will rejoice,
THEN your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will take your joy from you.
AND no one can take that joy from you.
comparison
When Jesus said they will no longer see Him, it only means that it's because He is going to the Father in heaven after His resurrection and because of that they will mourn and weep; not only because they will no longer see Him but also because Jesus knows that they are going to suffer for His Name's sake. However, Jesus assure them that even though they will experience suffering in this world for His Name's sake, yet He will turn this sorrow into joy. A joy that is complete as they see Him face to face on His second coming.
As Christians in this modern time, this passage also tells us about the Hope that we have in Christ. We may experience persecution right now emotionally or even physically for sharing the Gospel, but God is telling us that the joy that awaits us is incomparable with all this sufferings; like how a woman rejoices and forgets all the pain after seeing the new born child. And on that day of His second coming, when we see Jesus face to face, our hearts will be glad . And as He promise we will experience the joy that no one can ever take away from us.
