God's inescapable presence is a scary proposition for those who are not in Christ. Even the fact that he formed me is no solace when I consider my sin. It actually brings more guilt. If I don't read this Psalm through the lens of the cross, I despair. If I do, it brings me sweet comfort and intimacy.
