My brethren, count it all joy
e Count it all joy, my brothers, 1
when ye fall into divers temptations;
when you meet trials f of various kinds,
for you know that
that the trying of your faith
g the testing of your faith
h produces steadfastness.
But let patience have her perfect work,
And let steadfastness have its full effect,
that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
that you may be i perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
If any of you lack wisdom,
j If any of you lacks wisdom,
let him ask of God,
k let him ask God,
that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not;
l who gives generously to all without reproach,
and it shall be given him.
and it will be given him.
But let him ask in faith,
But m let him ask in faith,
n with no doubting,
For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
for the one who doubts is like o a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
p he is a double-minded man, q unstable in all his ways.
