Central Idea: Paul details what it looks like to obey v.12-17 ( let the peace of Christ rule, etc ) in specific relationships: husband-wife, father-child, slave-master. In each case, it is Christ and his gospel that defines the relationship. Explanations / Questions: v.22 and v.23, Generally, prepositional phrases should not be split off because they are not complete subject-prediacte clauses. However, with v.23b,c, I think I can make a case because of the conjuction 'as' and by supplying the implied subject and predicate. With v.22 I have less of a case (only the conjuctions, not...but..., ).

as is fitting in the Lord.

Slaves, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters,
μὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοδουλίαις ὡς ἀνθρωπάρεσκοι,
not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers,
ἀλλ’ ἐν ἁπλότητι καρδίας, φοβούμενοι τὸν κύριον.
but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.

Whatever you do, work heartily,
ὡς τῷ κυρίῳ
