But - further?
.. they were most often used for holding garbage and human waste. It was how Paul viewed himself—as lowly, common, expendable, and replaceable . . By using frail and expendable people, God makes it clear that salvation is the result of his power and not any power his messengers could generate .. . The messenger’s weakness is not fatal to what he does; it is essential .. 9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9, ESV) .. . 4 and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4) ..

I would make verse 7 the first part of the next section, verses 7-18. Paul expands on being jars of clay starting in verse 8. So Progression does work to relate 7 to 1-6, but it relates not just 7 but all of 7-18 to 1-6.

hehe..yes kuya,I know it that v.7 is part of bigger passage before connecting to v.1-6..but I only got little time (or I am too hasty) and I'm excited already to send my arc to you for correction..hehe..sorry kuya,I will not do it again..
Brent Karding
No problem! :)

For God...has shone in our hearts...
I don't think 6 is a second Ground for 2-4, but rather a Ground for 5. The reason why they proclaim Jesus as Lord is because God has shone in their hearts.
Brent Karding
For what we proclaim is not ourselves,
I think 5-6 should be connected 4 first, and then all of 4-6 made a Concessive to 2.

That's because Paul is saying, in 2-3, "Even though our gospel is hidden to the lost, we act and preach openly." Then 5 isn't grounding all of 2-4, but only 4, or even just 4b-c, since Paul is talking further about the proclamation of Jesus, which he only discusses in 4.

So the reason why Paul says that Satan blinds people "from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ" is because Christ is the one Paul proclaims.

kuya,I'm not sure if I understand your correction well, specially in making v.4-6 a concessive to v.2, so I made a new version of this arc wherein I applied your correction.
Brent Karding
Looks better! But 4a-6d should be the Explanation of the Idea in 3. Then I think what I meant was to make 3-6 a Concessive to 2.
Mildred Codilla-Salilig
I have changed the corrected arc kuya..Is it good already kuya?
Brent Karding
Yes, I think that looks good.
Brent Karding
Verses 3-4 look good.
Mildred Codilla-Salilig
Yey!

I suggest that 2ab and 2cf be a Series, based on the English, since Paul is giving two things he doesn't do, based on the ESV. Were you looking at the Greek, where "we refuse" is a participle, and "we have renounced" is a verb?

In that case, Ac-Mn works well, and your Neg-Pos there is excellent as well.

Yehey!
