Main point summary
Main point summary
Because we have now been declared righteous through His blood, we will be saved from God's wrath through Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:6-11
For while we were still a helpless,
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
b at the right time c Christ died for the ungodly.
For one will hardly die for a righteous man;
(For rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person perhaps someone might possibly dare to die.) 7
1 though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.
But God a demonstrates b His own love toward us,
But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
in that while we were yet sinners,
c Christ died for us.
Much more then, having now been justified 1 a by His blood,
Much more then, because we have now been declared righteous 8 by his blood, 9 we will be saved through him from God’s wrath. 10
we shall be saved b from the wrath of God through Him.
For if while we were a enemies
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life?
we were reconciled to God
through the death of His Son,
much more, having been reconciled,
we shall be saved 1 b by His life.
a And not only this,
Not 11 only this, but we also rejoice 12 in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.
1 but we also exult in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have now received b the reconciliation.
♡ Christ died ▪ for whom? for us who are ungodly ▪ when? When we are helpless v.6a, and sinners v.8b ♡ Why did He do it? ▪ Because God demonstrates His own love for us even though we 're not good. ♡ Therefore, being declared righteous by His blood, ▪ we will be saved from God's wrath ♡ This means we were reconciled to God ▪ while we were enemies ▪ by the death of His Son ▪ being reconciled, we will be saved by His life ♡ (Continuation of rejoicing in the preceding passage) We rejoice in God ▪because we received reconciliation
