True Sincere Committed Service To God is Caring for the Poor and Guarding that Sincerity of Faith from Worldly Corruption
Again James through the Spirit is warning us about talking less, and not controlling bad speech. True service to God is not some much about rituals and ceremonies, but about caring and loving on people, especially people who are downtrodden, weak, oppressed and poor. Is not this a clear picture of the gospel where God the Father through Christ sacrifice on the cross saves the downtrodden and weak and poor and oppressed. That is all of us, so when we sacrifice ourselves to help others for Christ sake in spite of difficulties, we are showing that we are truly committed to the service of the Lord. However with the constant bombardment of the world with its distractions and temptations can cause us to abandon or compromise our trust and committed to the Lord. That's why we have to be vigilant through the grace of God to fight against becoming polluted by what the world thinks, says and does that is contrary to the gospel and the word of God, instead let us look to the Lord Jesus Christ, who he is and what he has done and all the implications from knowing him that effect everything in our life.
If anyone thinks he is religious
If someone thinks he is committed to the service of God
q and does not bridle his tongue
Yet does not control what he says(corrupt, useless, and destructive talk)
but deceives his heart,
Then he deceives his own heart
this person’s r religion is worthless.
Therefore this person committed service to God is empty and worthless
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this:
But Instead the committed service to God that is pure and undefiled before God the father is this
