A wonderful conclusion to the entire section on meat offered to idols. The point is excercising our liberty but living for the glory of God by serving the good of others. Paul offers concrete counsel - when eating in a home [understanding via 10:1-22 that temple eating is forbidden] do not eat meat explicitly designated as offered to an idol in order not to confuse or compromise others.
