1 Timothy 4:6-11
By pointing out such things to the brothers and sisters, 6 you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, having nourished yourself on the words of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7
Ταῦτα ὑποτιθέμενος τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς
If you put these things before the brethren,

But reject those myths 8 fit only for the godless and gullible, 9 and train yourself for godliness.
τοὺς δὲ βεβήλους καὶ γραώδεις μύθους παραιτοῦ.

ἡ γὰρ σωματικὴ γυμνασία πρὸς ὀλίγον ἐστὶν ὠφέλιμος,
because while bodily training is of little value,

ἡ δὲ εὐσέβεια πρὸς πάντα ὠφέλιμός
Alternatively godliness is of more value
godliness n is of value in every way,
ἐστιν ἐπαγγελίαν ἔχουσα ζωῆς τῆς νῦν
Because it holds promise for the present life

καὶ τῆς μελλούσης.
Even more so for the life to come.

This saying 11 is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.
