ἐν ᾧ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε,

This brings you great joy, 11

though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by p various trials,

ὀλίγον ἄρτι εἰ δέον [ἐστὶν] λυπηθέντας ἐν ποικίλοις πειρασμοῖς,

although you may have to suffer 12 for a short time in various trials.
