They should therefore not be anxious about anything, but instead in everything they should present their requests to God through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. In doing so, the peace of God, which is greater than what we can grasp, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Application: (i) having the faith and confidence to not be anxious about anything. Our heavenly Father takes care of us and watches over us. (ii) learning to have a dependency on God such that we really do present our requests to God and trust that his peace, which is so great, will guard our hearts and minds.
