and he went and threw him into prison

until he repaid what was owed.
ἰδόντες οὖν οἱ σύνδουλοι αὐτοῦ τὰ γενόμενα
Thus, when (other) fellow servants of his saw the things that happened,
ἐλυπήθησαν σφόδρα
they were greatly grieved,
καὶ ἐλθόντες διεσάφησαν τῷ κυρίῳ ἑαυτῶν πάντα τὰ γενόμενα.
and they went and reported to their master all the things that happened.
τότε προσκαλεσάμενος αὐτὸν ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ
Then, his master summoned him

δοῦλε πονηρέ, πᾶσαν τὴν ὀφειλὴν ἐκείνην ἀφῆκά σοι,
"wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt

because you begged me.
οὐκ ἔδει καὶ σὲ ἐλεῆσαι τὸν σύνδουλόν σου,
is it not also necessary for you to show mercy to your fellow servant,

as I also showed mercy to you?"
