Main point summary
Listen up! You make all these plans based on what you think is best for yourselves, but don't you know God is in control of your lives, and that you exist to do his bidding? Still, in your arrogance and evil you boast about your planning and the success you've gained from it, and as you do so, you neglect devotion to the commands and desires of God. What conceit! What sin!

Come, now,
οἱ λέγοντες•
Those who are saying,
σήμερον ἢ αὔριον πορευσόμεθα εἰς τήνδε τὴν πόλιν
"Today or tomorrow we, ourselves, will go into this city
καὶ ποιήσομεν ἐκεῖ ἐνιαυτὸν
and we will make this (our home) for a year,
καὶ ἐμπορευσόμεθα
and we will conduct our business,
καὶ κερδήσομεν•
and we will profit."
