Meditation
Paul is comforted because he receives a great report from Timothy regarding their faith and love. Again, the focus is their faith. Now that he knows their condition, that their labor there was not in vain, he asks the Lord to make them increase and abound in love for one another and for all. We are not capable of loving others on our own. We cannot muster this love up. It is the Lord's work in us.
