Lord Jesus Christ: e Grace to you and peace.
d We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly 1 e mentioning you in our prayers,
a We give thanks to God always for all of you, b making mention of you in our prayers;
We thank God always for all of you as we mention you constantly 4 in our prayers,
remembering before f our God and Father g your work of faith and labor of h love and i steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
constantly bearing in mind your a work of faith and labor of b love and 1 c steadfastness of hope 2 in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of d our God and Father,
because we recall 5 in the presence of our God and Father 6 your work of faith and labor of love and endurance of hope 7 in our Lord Jesus Christ.
For we know, j brothers 1 loved by God, k that he has chosen you,
knowing, a brethren beloved by God, b His choice of you;
We know, 8 brothers and sisters 9 loved by God, that he has chosen you, 10
because l our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and m in the Holy Spirit and with full n conviction. You know o what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.
for our a gospel did not come to you in word only, but also b in power and in the Holy Spirit and with c full conviction; just as you know d what kind of men we 1 proved to be among you for your sake.
in that 11 our gospel did not come to you merely in words, 12 but in power and in the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction (surely you recall the character we displayed when we came among you to help you). 13
And p you became imitators of us q and of the Lord, for r you received the word in much affliction, s with the t joy of the Holy Spirit,
You also became a imitators of us and of the Lord, b having received c the word in much tribulation with the d joy of the Holy Spirit,
And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received 14 the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.
so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
so that you became an example to all the believers in a Macedonia and in b Achaia.
As a result you became an example 15 to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
For not only has the word of the Lord u sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth v everywhere, so that we need not say anything.
For a the word of the Lord has b sounded forth from you, not only in c Macedonia and d Achaia, but also e in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.
For from you the message of the Lord 16 has echoed forth not just in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place reports of your faith in God have spread, 17 so that we do not need to say anything.
For they themselves report concerning us the kind of w reception we had among you, and how x you turned to God y from idols to serve the living and z true God,
For they themselves report about us what kind of a 1 a reception we had 2 with you, and how you b turned to God c from 3 idols to serve 4 d a living and true God,
For people everywhere 18 report how you welcomed us 19 and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God
and a to wait for his Son b from heaven, c whom he raised from the dead, Jesus d who delivers us from e the wrath to come.
and to a wait for His Son from 1 heaven, whom He b raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who c rescues us from d the wrath to come.
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath. 20
